Diane Levitan
Diane Levitan
Diane Keils Levitan has always loved creating art, even as a young child drawing on every blank piece of paper found in the house (and the occasional wall!). Her award-winning work is influenced by Georgia O’Keefe, Mary Cassatt, Claude Monet, Norman Rockwell, those fun paint-by-number kits from childhood, and the inspiration drawn from her fellow Clark County Artist Guild members and guest speakers. She strives to exemplify the beauty and design of nature found in the world, as well as create a sense of peace. Diane was selected to build ‘EmPATHy,’ a large outdoor art installation for ‘Art on the Move,’ which was displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1990. She exhibited paintings at the Swords into Plowshares Art Gallery, Wayne State University, Clark County Library, and more. For almost a decade, Diane taught K-6 art classes through private schools and a public schools initiative with the Pontiac Art Center (Michigan). **Creativity Classes are available for elementary students upon request.**
